Seconds matter. Lives change in seconds, decisions are made in seconds, and regrets are formed in seconds. Each year, if we are blessed to live a full year, we will have 31,536,000 seconds to live … “The Meaningful Life.” We should honor the gift of our life by pursuing one that is filled with passion, focused on purpose, and supported with well-being and resilience. One that is grounded in principles and values. And if we aren’t pursuing or living that life, we should at least know why we are not, and what we can do to move in that direction (if we want to).
If you are nudged, inspired, jolted, or awakened by these words, contact us to begin your journey towards … “The Meaningful Life.” To help achieve this we provide training, speaking, facilitation, and coaching services in the areas of meaningfulness, values, well-being, and resilience for leaders, teams, and organizations. To assist in achieving this purpose, Cedric holds the following certifications: for personality type, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Certified Practitioner through the Center for Applications of Psychological Type (CAPT); and for emotional intelligence the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ-i 360 from MHS Assessments. Cedric graduated from the Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being Program from the George Mason University - Center for the Advancement of Well-Being. Cedric is also certified in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
Cedric most recently served as the Editor-in-Chief of the American Bar Association (ABA) GPSolo Magazine, where he regularly authored a column titled: “BLT – Balanced Life Theory,” that focused on life balance, resilience, and well-being. Cedric also served as the Diversity Director of the ABA GP Solo Division for the 2017-2018 bar year and Chair of the Diversity Board for the 2015-2017 bar years. Cedric currently serves on the communications committee of the Institute for Well-Being in the Law, as a member of the Commission on Racial Equality in The Law of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and as a member of the Lawyer Well-Being Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Cedric also authors a twice-monthly post titled “The Meaningful Life” at https://cedricashley.substack.com.
